Arthur McGinnis Staying Grounded

For some people, football is more than just a game it's simply an opportunity to create a better life. Middle linebacker Arthur McGinnis is one of the top players in America regardless of position and one of the most grounded off the field.

Arthur McGinnis checks in from New Orleans (LA) Warren Easton Charter high school. The 6-foot-2, 230-pound backer has offers from just about every major program in the county but a select few are showing the most interest at this time.

"The recruiting process is coming along great," McGinnis said. "I'm learning and experiencing many new things surrounding football. The schools that are showing the most love are MSU, TAMU, Texas Tech, Oklahoma Sooners and many others. It means the world to my family and me. We experienced so much devastation and having all these big time schools after me gives them hope. My number one goal is to place my family in a better situation, away from worry and pain."

McGinnis has safety type speed in a linebacker body. One of his biggest strengths is rushing the passer coming off the edge and making plays in the open field utilizing his speed. He will visit numerous schools over the summer but right now only knows of two.

"I plan on visiting Texas Tech, Texas A&M and some others," McGinnis said.
