Titus Davis was one of the anchors on Stockbridge's defense last season when he helped them to the Georgia State quarterfinals.

"It was a great run but we came up short," Davis said. "We believe we have what it takes to make a deeper run this season."

The 6' 4", 255-pound defensive end came over to the Ole Miss camp last month and stayed with his former teammate, Kendarius Webster.

"He tells me that (OM) is a great school and have a great foundation in place. They have a great team and a great recruiting class for the class of '14 and '15. It just has a great foundation in place."

Titus had tripped to Oxford one time before the latest visit.

"I actually came with Kendarius last season when they played Texas A&M. Coach (Derrick) Nix has been recruiting me for Ole Miss. We have a great relationship. We talk a lot. We communicate a lot, and he shows me that he loves me a lot. That's a great thing."

What was he hoping to get out of the latest trip to Ole Miss?

"I just really came to visit and show my face and show that I am interested in Ole Miss. I like the fact that they have a great family and everybody is on the same page and everybody knows what is going on with one another. It's just a great place."

Titus holds 23 scholarship offers but there are four or five schools who seem to be sticking out right now.

"Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Indiana are the schools who are showing me the most love right now."

What is going on with Florida?

"Florida is a great school in a great environment. I like heat and I am good with the heat down there. I like it as a whole."

Georgia Tech.

"It is my hometown. It is a great place to be. I kind of want to branch off but it's a great school though. I really like Georgia Tech. They have new facilities and it's in the heart of Atlanta. It's a place I want to be."

"I love Death Valley. Coach (Marion) Hobby is a great person and is a great coach in general. He is always calling me and keeping in touch. That is what I like about him."

Any one or two schools coming after him the hardest?

"Well it is all the same. I guess if I look at who needs me the most I would have to say Ole Miss could use me. I love to be there. They can use me. There are a lot of athletes in the world. I can't say they need me. Georgia Tech could use me and I would say Clemson."

Is there a timeframe?

"Whenever. I am going to Florida State and Georgia this summer. I just want to see as many places as possible."

What is Georgia saying?

"They want to see my flexibility. As soon as that happens we will see. It is kind of disappointing they have not offered me because it is a home state school. But the thing is that they are not really an option because they already have two defensive end commits."
