Head coach Charlie Strong will hold one camp this summer starting on Friday night July 18th. In attendance will be some of the most wanted high school football players from the state of Texas. Michael Scott has flown under the radar throughout this recruiting process and says he would love to visit on July 18th if possible.
"The recruiting process has been good and still overwhelming to get the type of attention I'm getting because I'm not that good," Scott said. Me and my family are blessed for getting this chance."
Scott has offers from Kansas State, TCU, California, Colorado, Colorado State, Iowa, Iowa State, North Texas and SMU. He also has interest from Oregon, Texas, Texas Tech, Baylor, Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Tulsa."
"I've been to TCU and SMU they both are nice, and SMU has a new food hall which I loved," Scott said. "I love the coaches from SMU. I am being recruited for the outside backer and wide receiver positions. I am just an athlete. I could play safety, at my height or be a big target on offensive."
Scott breaks down his game.
"My strength is I'm long and my ability to jump up and catch the ball or knock it down," Scott said. "My catching has gotten so much better. My weakness is my takeoff speed. I'm fast enough to make plays and score but coming off the line I'm a little bit slow but my strength makes up for it and I have to do better on route running."
