Alexander will trim list soon
Over the past few months, scholarship offers have been piling up for A.J. Alexander, with the latest coming from North Carolina. ”It’s an offer I had wanted for a while, so I was happy when it happened,” said the 6-foot-3, 221-pound Alexander. “I’m familiar with them because my quarterback (Caleb Henderson) is going there. It’s an important offer and I’m interested in them.” Alexander’s most recent visit was to Boston Colllege. “I went up there a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the trip,” he said. “I got to hang around the coaches and they answered all my questions. I also got to see everything while I was there. It’s a great college town, too.” Next, he will visit Ohio State on July 25 and Wisconsin on July 26. ”Those visits are obviously important,” Alexander said. “I’m looking forward to meeting the coaches and players at both schools. I also want to see what the campus life is like at each. That’s really what those visits are for. ”It’s a lot easier to make a decision if you’ve been to school, met the players and coaches, and seen the campus. You want to make sure that's where you want to be and where you’ll feel comfortable for the next four to five years. ” Although he is not ready to name any favorites, five schools are pursuing him the hardest. “I’d say the schools that are showing the most interest are Wisconsin, Boston College, Ohio State, Wake Forest and Rutgers," Alexander said. "They aren’t my top schools, but those schools are in good shape right now. I’m going to narrow my list to five by the end of July.” He is looking forward to his senior season. ”I’m excited and hopefully I’ll have an even better season than last year,” Alexander said. “I’ve progressed every year, so hopefully I’ll continue to do so.” Alexander hopes to take all five official visits and plans to make his decision sometime during football season.
