"It means everything," he said. "First, it's a huge honor. They're an offensive line factory and the fact that they think I can play there means a lot. It means I can't become complacent though."
Jackson, a 6-foot-2, 285-pound rising junior, camped with the Crimson Tide and that is when the interest in him rose.
"I camped here last month and performed the best I ever have. The coaches were extremely impressed and say that I'm a perfect fit in their offense. They loved my aggression."
"Alabama will be along with the top throughout the process. They have to be. They're one of those schools that you have dreamt about playing for."
Jackson is in no rush to make a decision though, and will continue taking visits and camping this month.
"I only have one more camp this summer, and it's at Ohio State on the 25th. I think I will visit Kentucky on the 19th as well."
Jackson is currently ranked as the nation's top center in the 2016 class and number 85 overall in the Scout 300.
