WAKE FOREST, N.C. --- On the morning of what was supposed to be a rare day off in June, Jordon Brown…
Brown holds five offers
“I have offers ECU, Boston College, West Virginia, Wake Forest and NC State,” said Jordon Brown. “North Carolina, Miami, Georgia and Penn State are also showing interest. NC State is recruiting me the hardest, though. ” His most recent offer was from Wake Forest. “They offered right before the summer,” said the 5-foot-10, 180-pound Brown. “It felt good to get another in-state offer. When those schools offer, it lets you know that they are trying to keep guys at home.” The last place Brown visited was North Carolina. ”I went there for a one-day camp,” he said. “I thought I did pretty well and I enjoyed it. I had talked to (running backs) coach (Larry) Porter previously and he told me they were interested in me and wanted me to come to camp. “I thought I did pretty well in the one-on-ones. I also ran my best 40 time of the summer at the camp, which was a 4.47. While I was there, I got to talk to coach (Larry) Fedora and coach Porter. They told me that they were glad I came and that they will stay in touch. I think they could offer at some point.” In regards to the rest of the summer, Brown said he will likely visit NC State. Then this fall, he said he would like to see games at Boston College and West Virginia. Last season, Brown finished with 753 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns on 89 carries and 23 receptions for 453 yards and three scores.
