Southern California is blessed with a load of talented quarterbacks right now. Four of the region's best were on hand to compete at the Huntington Beach 7v7 last Saturday including Josh Rosen (UCLA) of St. John Bosco, Sam Darnold (USC) of San Clemente as well as juniors K.J. Costello of Santa Margarita Devon Modster of Tesoro.

Josh Rosen (6'3.5/206) is the nation's No. 1 quarterback, and he has gone a long way towards solidifying that spot this summer. Starting as a sophomore on a loaded St. John Bosco team, Rosen is now the unquestioned leader after having so many talented players move on to college the last two years. Rosen can make any throw asked of him and has remarkable field vision.

Josh Rosen:

Sam Darnold (6'3.5/202) made his commitment to USC last week, and he showed well at the passing tournament on Saturday. He's got a big frame and a plus arm. He shows off his arm strength on several out routes in these highlights.

Sam Darnold:

Rosen is the No. 1 quarterback in the Class of 2015, and K.J. Costello (6'4/220) may be the No. 1 quarterback in the Class of 2016. Costello's Santa Margarita team was eliminated from the tournament by Rosen and eventual champ St. John Bosco, but not before Costello got a chance to put on an air show. Costello has as strong an arm as anyone in the country, but what's doubly impressive besides his ability to stretch a defense, is his ability to throttle down his throws and check down to backs underneath the coverage.

K.J. Costello:

Junior Devon Modster (6'0/200) of Tesoro was razor sharp to start the day. Modster took on San Clemente in the first game, and he had five touchdowns before he had an incompletion.
