Scout 300 OL opens recruitment back up

Emanuel McGirt has had a lot on his mind the last few weeks and he has decided to open his recruitment back up. The Scout 300 offensive tackle is no longer committed to North Carolina...

Emanuel McGirt committed to North Carolina about six weeks ago, but he has decided to re-open his recruitment.

Scout heard about the decision and confirmed it with McGirt's coach.

"Yes, he did," Hillside head coach Antonio King said when asked if McGirt decommitted from UNC Saturday.

The 6-foot-5, 270 pound offensive tackle has made it known that he had interest in Georgia and North Carolina State along with North Carolina in recent weeks.

"I will take some official visits," McGirt said when he talked with Scout recently. "I have a lot of praying to do now."

Do not expect McGirt to take all five of his official visits before he makes up his decision. It will likely come down to Georgia, N.C. State, and North Carolina. LSU is another school to keep an eye on.

The four-star is scheduled to graduate in December and enroll at the school of his choice in January.
