Armed with well over a dozen scholarship offers, Prattville (Ala.) three-star Kenny Thomas is entering the evaluation stage of his recruitment.
The 6-foot-6, 315-pounder hasn't strayed far from home this summer, so the fall will be a busy time for him both on the field during his senior season and on the road in seeing college campuses for the first time.
"Still just taking it slow."
After the unofficial to Blacksburg, however, there are initial plans to begin the official visit process. A trio of schools on the offer list are likely to host him in the coming weeks.
"Louisville, Mississippi State and Minnesota are schools I want to get to," Thomas said. "Because the coaches really want me up there to see their campuses and show me around the facilities. I haven't been to any of those."
While official visit dates are not yet set in stone, Thomas' fall camp practice dates are. The Lions have been at it for a few days and will take the next step on Wednesday afternoon.
"It's going good sir, and I'm healthy" he said laughing. "We're going in shells (helmets and shoulder pads) this afternoon."
Scout currently tabs Thomas as the nation's No. 64 offensive guard projection in the class of 2015.
