Rohnert Park (Calif.) Rancho Cotate 2016 receiver Chris Taylor-Yamanoha (6-1.5, 175) is heading into his junior season with a trio of Mountain West offers.

Boise State, San Diego State and Utah State have all offered,” said Taylor-Yamanoha. “They’ve all offered more as an athlete.”

Taylor-Yamanoha camped with the Broncos and Aztecs and also camped at California, Louisville, UCLA and USC while also visiting Utah and Utah State.

“USC said they want to see my junior film and to come back next year and compete at their camp and Cal said they’ll be watching me this year,” said Taylor-Yamanoha.

Taylor-Yamanoha’s mom went to Louisville, thus the interest in the Cardinals.

“My whole family is Louisville fans because my mom went there and I like them,” said Taylor-Yamanoha.

But for the fall, Taylor-Yamanoha plans to visit the schools in California to take in some games.

“I’ll go to some games, like at Cal, because it’s close and easy.

Taylor-Yamanoha can play on either side of the ball, but receiver is where most schools worked him this summer.

“At most of the camps I went to, I worked as a receiver,” said Taylor-Yamanoha. “I can be recruited as an athlete, but I like receiver.”

Taylor-Yamanoha played 7v7 for Kenion Training and said the experience there helped him immensely.

“Playing 7v7 helped a bunch because I got to see the competition and compete at a higher level all summer,” said Taylor-Yamanoha.
