2015 West Top 150

Kahlil McKenzie

The preseason West 150 for the class of 2015 is led by the nation's No. 1 prospect...

The West is home to the nation's No. 1 prospect in the 2015 class.

So naturally, Concord (Calif.) Clayton Valley defensive tackle Kahlil McKenzie tops the West 150 for the Class of 2015.

For the first time since Sacramento's Arik Armstead and Shaq Thompson were 1-2 in the final 2012 West 150, Northern California is home to the region's top prospect.

But then comes a run in Southern California, with 2-5 coming from that part of the state.

Long Beach (Calif.) Poly cornerback Iman Marshall comes in at No. 2, the second straight year the Jackrabbits had the No. 2 prospect in the West, a year ago it being Juju Smith, now a freshman at USC.

At No. 3, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco quarterback Josh Rosen, the nation's top passer, leads a group of three quarterbacks in the top 10.

Gardena (Calif.) Serra defensive end Rasheem Green comes in at No. 4 and Corona (Calif.) Santiago quarterback Blake Barnett is ranked No. 5.

The first player from outside California in the top ten is Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton outside linebacker Osa Masina, who's ranked No. 6 in the West.

At No. 7 is Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure quarterback Ricky Town and Gardena (Calif.) Serra outside linebacker John Houston follows him at No. 8.

Rounding out the top ten is Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman tight end Alize Jones at No. 9 and Orange (Calif.) Lutheran outside linebacker Keisean Lucier-South at No. 10.

California led the way in placing players in the West 150. Here is the state-by-state breakdown:

California: 100
Utah: 12
Washington: 10
Arizona: 9
Hawaii: 7
Nevada: 5
Colorado: 3
