Recruits in Texas AP 4A Top 10

Scout.com provides a guide of FBS recruits from the Texas Associated Press Class 4A preseason top 10, which was released Wednesday.

Regular-season football starts in the Lone Star State in two weeks, so the Texas Associated Press high school writers released preseason top 10 polls for Classes 6A through 2A earlier this week.

Here's a guide to players who, as of Aug. 15, have FBS offers in the Texas AP 4A Top 10, led by Texas Tech four-star quarterback pledge Jarrett Stidham and Stephenville:

NOTE: Among the 4A teams receiving votes for the top 10 were La Grange, Gladewater, and Abilene Wylie. La Grange boasts 2015 three-star athlete Bralon Hutchison, who has offers from Duke, Houston, Nevada, New Mexico, North Texas, Oregon State, and Texas State. Gladewater has the state's No. 3-ranked 2015 prospect, five-star defensive tackle and Texas A&M commit Daylon Mack. Abilene Wylie has 2015 three-star outside linebacker Clay Johnston, who is committed to Baylor.

If you look at the Class 3A preseason top 10, you'll find Newton at No. 5 and New Boston at No. 7. Newton boasts 2015 four-star safety Roney Elam, who committed Friday to Texas A&M. New Boston is home to 2015 three-star cornerback Jeff Gladney, a TCU pledge.
