"I really enjoyed watching the practice and really liked the way Coach Wilson ran it. The team looked pretty good," he said.
While he did keep an eye on the players at his own position, it was actually a defensive player who he says really caught his attention.
"The player that stuck out to me the most was Nile Sykes because he looked like a veteran on the field instead of a true freshman."
This trip allowed Schoeberl to speak to Coach Wilson and his staff further.
"The coaches thanked me for coming to see them practice and yelled to me about my junior season and told me I need to come for a game."
Schoeberl is being recruited by a number of other schools as well. He says, "I'm hearing from Purdue, Wisconsin, Michigan State, NC State, Iowa, Ball State, some from Notre Dame, Cincinnati, and a few others."
He hopes to get to a few college games this year, including being back in Bloomington.
"I don't have any exact plans right now but I plan on going to IU, Purdue, and Notre Dame for sure this fall for games."
