Erick Fowler may soon hit double-digit offers.
The Manor (Texas) 2016 defensive end/outside linebacker got his latest offer this past Friday, when he took an unofficial visit to TCU and got an offer, according to HornedFrogBlitz.com's Jeremy Clark.
TCU is the second Big 12 program to offer Fowler this month, joining Oklahoma, which offered him about two weeks ago.
HornedFrogBlitz.com caught up with Fowler about the offer. You can read about that right here.
At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Fowler has the frame that could allow him to play even-front defensive end or odd-front outside linebacker at the next level. He's a long-armed prospect who is a natural pass-rusher, as evidenced by his monster sophomore season in 2013.
Fowler recorded 84 tackles, 19 sacks, and one interception in 2013, when Manor finished 9-2 with a first-round playoff appearance.
Scout.com ranks Fowler as the No. 16 defensive end and the No. 161 overall recruit nationally in the 2016 class.
Fowler is No. 39 on the initial 2016 Midlands Top 50, which Scout national anlayst Greg Powers released June 11.
Strictly among in-state 2016 defensive ends, Fowler ranks fifth behind Aldine MacArthur's Isaiah Chambers, Flower Mound Marcus' Andrew Fitzgerald, McKinney North's Justin Madubuike, and Cibolo Steele's Mark Jackson.
Check back with Scout as we track Fowler's progress during his junior season, which starts Aug. 30 when Manor hosts Arlington (Texas) Sam Houston in a Saturday night contest.
