Simon Waiting On First

Canton GlenOak senior tailback Jason Simon will be entering his third year as a starter for the Golden Eagles. Although he holds no offers to date, Simon is on the recruiting radar.

Jason Simon is entering his third year as a starter for Canton GlenOak, and the tailback has been a very productive player in Ohio.

Simon, 6-foot-1, 205-pounds, impressed last week in a scrimmage against Austintown Fitch, and is excited for his senior season to begin.

"I think I did really well against Fitch," Simon stated. "I ran hard and broke tackles, and I did well at safety too. I like offense better, but I'm willing to play defense to help my team."

Even though he has no offers, Simon has college coaches showing interest.

"I am still waiting on that first offer," he admitted. "Cincinnati and Pittsburgh are showing a lot of interest, as are Kent State and Akron."

"Cincinnati wants me to get down there for a game, so they can see me in person," he added. "I like their program a lot, and I'm definitely going to get down there for a visit. I really like the Cincinnati program a lot."
