McCormick Hearing from New Schools

St. Johns Jesuit (Ohio) junior Maxwell McCormick recently visited one of his schools of interest.

6-foot-3, 193-pound wide receiver Maxwell McCormick is exciting heading into his junior season. McCormick says that schools have been picking up interest in him.

“My recruitment is going well,” said McCormick. “I’ve been in contact with coaches daily.”

McCormick says that there’s one school in particular that he has been talking to a lot.

Army has been recruiting me the hardest lately. I visited them on August 16th. They’re saying that there’s a high chance of an offer after they see my first two games film,” he said.

Aside from Army, the junior has been hearing from several other schools.

“I’m hearing from Holy Cross, UPenn, Ohio, Miami (Ohio), Purdue and some others” said McCormick.

McCormick made his rounds around the Midwest to attend different camps and get his name on the radar.

“I went to Indiana, Purdue, Ohio State, Miami (Ohio), Toledo, Bowling Green, Northwestern and Pittsburgh,” he said. “I performed very well at all of the camps and put myself in a great position to earn more offers. I showed strong hands, quickness off the line and ability to use my size and length to my advantage.”

In the meantime, McCormick spent time during his off-season getting ready for this season.

“I’ve been working on being precise and executing routes when I’m tired,” he said.
