One offer for VA LB

Over the summer, Charlottesville (VA) linebacker Devonta Brown spends time close to his roots in Maryland. Brown grew up in the area, and returns home every year to stay with his grandmother. As a result, he is almost completely oblivious to what letters have been sent to his home.

“I know that I really like Maryland, Virginia, and Penn State,” says the 6-foot-2, 235 pounder. “Virginia is the only team to offer me, so they are the top team so far. I grew up a Maryland fan since I lived up there, so I would like to see them offer.”

Even if they were to offer Brown says that he wants to wait before committing anywhere.

“I am still pretty open to everyone, and I want to weigh all my options. I do not want to commit anywhere early, and I plan to wait until February. That way I can find out more about the schools looking at me.”

For now, the summer is nearly over, and Brown must return home soon for practices.

“We start two-a-days the 11th of August, and I get to return to playing Mike for our team.”
