Klovas takes in day with the Ducks
"It really opened my eyes to Oregon again," Klovas told TheInsiders.com. "It was a really good experience and I'm starting to think about them more and more. I think the highlight was getting a chance to talk one-on-one with the players. They can always tell you about things and tell you how it is. "I got to hang out with Johnny (DuRocher, Klovas' former teammate at Bethel) and also with Nick Steitz. It was great to see Johnny again and it would be great to have him as a teammate, but that's not going to have anything to do with my final decision." And Aaron wasn't the only big man from Washington to attend. Bellingham (Wash.) Sehome OL/DL Matt Eichelberger was also there. "He's a really confident guy," Klovas said of Eichelberger. "We talked for a while. He's kind of in the same situation I'm in. We're both looking for the school that's the best fit for us. He's definitely looking for a school that can help him achieve his goals." With his trip to Oregon, Klovas is now starting to do his homework when it comes to seeing college games and making unofficial visits during college game days. "Well, we have three Thursday games this year, so I could leave to go on a visit on Friday after the games and have the weekend to visit schools," he said. "It would be fun to get to see the game day experience, but I also know a lot of coaches would like to have prospects wait until later, because they are so busy with the game." Washington, Washington State and Oregon seem to be at the forefront of Klovas' thoughts, as he would like to give the northwest schools every benefit of the doubt when it comes to getting him to sign on the dotted line. "I'm really seeing a lot of similarities between the three schools, but I think it's going to be the differences that could be the deciding factor," he said. "When I take official visits, those could very well be the difference. Those will help me get an overall feel for how things are." With offers from the entire Pac-10 (minus USC), Northwestern, Michigan State and Nebraska, expect Klovas to thoroughly research all possibilities and arrive at a prudent decision. When will it be? Who will it be? Those are the $64 questions, and there are no concrete answers at this time.
