National Hot 100 prospects has been revised, as this is something we
will do every month. Everyday we watch more film, scout more kids, and
talk with more contacts, so this list will evolve just like our rankings.
Remember, the nation's top thirty prospects all receive five stars in our
ranking system. Everyone else in the Hot 100 receives a four star.
For the most part, everyone basically stayed the same. Some prospects
moved up a little, some prospects moved down a little. The few big changes
were mainly at the quarterback position. After the EA Sports Elite 11
Quarterback Camp in California late last month, Kirby Freeman (Borwnwood, Texas)
made the biggest jump up the Hot 100, all the way to No. 12. The Miami
bound signal caller had a terrific week, as did Rhett Bomar (Grand Prairie,
Texas), Bomar, headed to Oklahoma, has taken over as the No. 1 ranked
quarterback in the nation and he finds himself No. 7 overall. Other
quarterbacks that made a move up the charts are Drew Weatherford (Land O'Lakes,
Fla.) and Matt Tuiasosopo (Woodinville, Wa.).
Running back D.J. Wolfe (Lawton, Okla.), quarterback Stephen McGee (Burnet,
Texas), and quarterback A.J. Bryant (Fort Valley, Ga.) all made their first
appearances in TheInsiders.com National Hot 100.
Linebacker Rory Johnson (Vicksburg, Miss.), offensive lineman Drew Miller
(Sarasota, Fla.), and quarterback Rocky Hinds (Playa Del Rey, Calif.) all
dropped out.
The regional Hot 100 for TheInsiders.com will be revised every month.
