Mesa's Max Hall had a Northwestern University scholarship offer but the Wildcats couldn't pry him away from the grip of the Arizona State Sun Devils.

Max Hall, a 6-foot-2, 185-pound quarterback from Mesa (AZ) Mountain View has given Arizona State his verbal commitment.

Hall had a scholarship offers from Northwestern in the Big Ten conference and also had offers from Brigham Young, Utah and Washington State as well.

Arizona State is my home town school and my family is going to be able to come watch me play.” Hall said.

“My uncle (Danny White) played at Arizona State and that was also a factor in my decision. I also got along very well with (Sun Devils Head Coach) Dirk Koetter.”

Hall threw for 2,384 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2002. He was named 2nd team all-state as a junior and was a finalist for high school football player of the year.
