SC OL taking unofficial

Two Division 1-AA schools have offered Darlington (SC) offensive lineman Nygel Pearson an offer, but he has his sights set a little higher, and the big man should get at least one.

“I am looking at Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Maryland, and Georgia Tech,” says the 6-foot-6, 300 pounder. “Princeton and South Carolina State have offered. The other schools are waiting for my senior film and we will go from there.”

Hartsville High is the first game on tap for Darlington, and Nygel feels that he is very ready for the first game as he saw them in person. He would like to use the new techniques he learned over the summer.

“I showed well at the different camps. I went to the ones at Tennessee and North Carolina, and they had some pretty good camps.”

Thus far, Nygel has just one unofficial visit set up (for this weekend to watch North Carolina against Florida State).”

“I would like to take my time and weigh my options even if someone were to offer.”
