"In light of the recent events, my mom and I just didn't feel comfortable getting on a plane right now," Booker said. "We had the same thoughts back on September 11 but I got over them and figured flying would be safe because of the increased security.
"Now we're basically at war and I just don't think it would be a good situation to put myself in. Plus my mom would be too worried about me if I was flying right now."
So will the trip be made up later or is canceled all together?
"We haven't decided on that yet," Booker's cousin and legal guardian Curtis Richardson said. "Right now it's up in the air. Lorenzo really isn't a huge fan of flying and that was before all of this happened and his mother is even less of a fan.
"We'll figure that out later but that's why I told you it will probably come down to SC and UCLA."
Booker had a big game last weekend rushing 16 times for 256 yards and three touchdowns in a 43-7 win over Harvard Westlake.
