Derek Morris, Jr. takes his first official to Ohio State and he now has a new nickname.

They call Orlando Pace the 'Pancake Man' and the former Ohio State Buckeye and current St. Louis Ram is one of the game's top offensive tackles. A prospect they call the "Waffle' would love to one day soon meet his idol, Orlando Pace.

"Man he is my favorite player," said offensive tackle Derek Morris, Jr. "Pace just mashes people. They call him the 'Pancake Man' and folks now call me the 'Waffle'. Both of us can't be called the same name. Hopefully, I will meet him one day soon."

Morris is one of the nation's top offensive line prospects from Charlotte (NC) North Mecklenberg High School. Last weekend, he just so happened to visit Pace's alma mater for an official visit.

"It was tight. I had a sweet room and ordered some room service. They showed me a good time. They have great facilities and the football atmosphere was impressive. Coach Tressell seems like a straight up and honest guy. I like him."

Morris is also scheduled to visit Georgia (11-9) and Tennessee (12-7). Florida, North Carolina, NC State, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Mississippi State and Miami are all fighting for his last two official visits. Morris, 6-5 and 348 pounds, is averaging 15 pancake blocks per game. His team is off to a 5-1 start. Morris missed one game with a bruised knee. Morris will attend the UNC/UVA game this weekend.
