Jayhawks Make Strong Impression
Throughout the fall, Gary Green had been listing Pittsburgh and Oklahoma State as his co-leaders. That has since changed, especially after this past weekend's official visit to Kansas. "I visited Pitt over Thanksgiving weekend, and I went to Kansas this past weekend," said Green. "They were both good visits, but Kansas really made a move up my list. I really like their coaches, and they are making me a top priority. They run a spread offense similar to ours down here, and know how to get the ball in your hands. I like the fact they were struggling and are now coming alive. I want to be a part of a building program." What did Green have to say about Oklahoma State? "I have dropped them from my list because they haven't offered to this point, and I believe are focusing on a back in Louisana. I know the other schools are probably taking looks at other backs, too, but at least they have made me a priority and sent me the offer." Green has two, possibly three, official visits remaining before making his decision. "I'm heading out to UCLA this weekend, and I'm looking forward to it. They have a good program that is on the rise, and are looking for playmakers. I'm going to Wisconsin the following weekend, and if I feel strong enough about my choice then I will commit during winter break. Otherwise, I will take a January trip to Texas Tech."
