Concord De La Salle (Ca) LB/SS Terrance Kelly was again part of yet another championship effort as the Spartans beat Pittsburgh 39-0 on 12/6, extending their winning streak to 151 consecutive victories.
Last weekend, he took his offical visit to California (coach Tedford in-home last week) where he was hosted by DB Thomas DeCoud. "I liked watching Cal practice for the bowl game," said Kelly. "I like their defense a lot and they are very intense.
"I liked meeting all the players and we ate some great food. I can't remember the name of the restaurant but I had some great ribs.
"But Cal is still behind Oregon (1/9, recruiting the hardest, coach Bellotti in-home last week) and they have a real good lead. That's by what I know about the coaches and how much Oregon is recruiting me.
"But what's really gonna matter is when I go on my visit to Oregon. I need to see if I like it and if I could actually live there.
"Bellotti is a great guy to be around. He has a great personality and Oregon has been talking to me the longest (the Ducks have usually been in the lead for Terrance since Aug). They've already been down here twice and are coming to my house again this week."
The other schools still in the running for Terrance are UCLA (12/19), Washington (1/23) and Oregon State. "I'm not sure if I'll visit Oregon State. It's really between my top four now."
