Sugar Land Austin (TX) WR/ATH Michael Jones says he'll commit to the Texas Longhorns if they come through with an offer. "They haven't talked to me about offering," says Jones. "But they've told me to keep them in mind. If they offered, I'd commit."
Jones is also looking seriously at Missouri (offer, 12/19, QB/ATH), Arizona State (offer, recruiting the hardest, 12/12--host LB Jamar Williams), Colorado and Oklahoma State (offer, 12/5). He also has offers from Baylor, Iowa State, Houston, Utah and Louisiana-Lafayette.
"I had a great time on my visit to ASU. It's a really nice campus. It's really beautiful and one of the nicest campuses I've seen. We got to drive around the campus in golf carts.
"We had dinner at the head coach's (Dirk Koetter) house. He lives in a great neighborhood and has a really big house. He's a great guy and has a very good sense of humor. He's only serious when he has to be.
"Missouri has a great engineering school and the coaches seem to be really high on me and said I could play soon.
"Oklahoma St is a great college town and everybody knows everybody. At least it seemed like everybody knew each other.
"All of the schools say they want me as an athlete--and mostly at WR. Except Missouri: they want me as a QB/ATH."
