Glasper talks about decision

I remember seeing Concord (Calif.) De La Salle cornerback Willie Glasper at the 2002 Stanford Nike camp. He was in the same line as teammate Cameron Colvin, both sophomores at the time. I think the college coaches in attendance that day enjoyed seeing those two as much as the seniors-to-be they were recruiting. It was easy even then to see why Glasper was going to be a top recruit for the class of 2004.
"They just liked the way I cover. They call me a 'lock-down' corner," Willie told TheInsiders.com Wednesday night after verbally committing to the University of
Glasper isn't going to wow you with Kenny O'Neal-like speed. He isn't going to match up size-wise with the Ted Ginns of this world. But if you find a better 'lock down' corner on the west coast this year, give me a holler. I'd like to see 'em.
So what put the Ducks on top? "When I went on all my trips, I just really liked their campus, their surroundings," said Willie. "It's a place I could see myself spending the next four or five years of my life at. I liked the facilities, I liked the coaching staff.
"I just had a feeling about Oregon. I just knew that was the place I was going to go to school at."
It's not going to hurt that Willie will have at least two other current teammates with him -
. "We just found ourselves in the same kind of situation," said Glasper. "We didn't necessarily want to play early, but there's a chance that we could so we took advantage."
Will the Ducks make it a clean sweep by snagging talented WR
from DLS? Willie doesn't know whether or not his teammate is leaning to one particular school, but he knows UO is in the mix.
"There's definitely pressure on him right now," said Glasper. "Going to Oregon could happen, but I'm not sure right now. I don't know what his interests are.
"Of course I'd love it if he came and played with us, but I'm sure not going to force him to do something. I know he likes Oregon, and I think he'll decide between Oregon,
. He'll probably wait until signing day."
