Several schools have been in contact with Illinois quarterback Garrett Seeger. Who are his early favorites? Does he have any scholarship offers?

A dual-threat quarterback to watch in 2004 will be 6-foot-2, 195-pound Garrett Seeger. The four-year starter is from Barrington, Illinois and several schools are showing interest.

“I have an offer from Air Force right now,” said Seeger. “I’m getting hand-written letters from Notre Dame, Iowa and a bunch of the Ivy League schools.

“My favorites are Air Force, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Boston College, Iowa and Virginia.

“I’m going to hit some camps this summer but I’m not sure which ones yet.”

Seeger rushed and threw for a 1,000 yards as a junior and he should have a huge senior season operating behind an offensive line that includes All-American offensive lineman Dan Doering and All-Region candidate Andy Laue.

Garrett Seeger is a tremendous student carrying a 3.98 GPA in the classroom. He’s a very good athlete that’s getting recruited as a quarterback but could make the move to the defensive backfield.
