Florida ATH Bryan Evans (5-11, 177, 4.45) is one of the more versatile prospects who will be signing next February. Last year Bryan scored TDs rushing, receiving, on kick returns and returned a pick to paydirt as well.

"Even though I was born in Florida, I lived in Georgia from the age of 1-4," said Evans. "I've lived in Florida since then and it's not easy to go to Georgia if you are from Florida.

Bryan Evans (5-11, 177, 4.45) of Jacksonville White (FL) could play WR, RB or DB in college. The speedster feels he may lack the size for RB however. "I'm not sure where most colleges want me to play," said Evans, who already has offers from LSU, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland (first to offer) and West Virginia.

"I like the challenge of playing in at DB, but some schools also want me for WR. I'm not sure I'm big enough to play RB. It seems like you have to be over 200 for that.

"But I like to hit and I can cover. I can stay in my backpedal. I like my backpedal technique because I can watch the ball better."

Colleges like Bryan's versatility. As a JR, the youngster who goes by the nickname "Freak Show", rushed for 732 yds and 15 TDs on 66 carries and also caught a TD pass. He also picked off five passes, returning one for a score, and returned four kick returns to paydirt.

"I'm pretty fast (10.68 100, 21.5 200). I'm not really being recruited for track though. A lot of people from Jacksonville are fast. I don't know if I'll be able to go to camps this summer because I'll be running track."

LSU (recruiting the hardest, CB/WR) leads slightly over Florida State (childhood fave, parental pref), Florida (recruiting the hardest, CB), Miami, Tennessee (childhood fave) and Georgia.

"LSU wants me to play both offense and defense in high school," explains Bryan. "They like me with the ball in my hands. I like LSU a lot--not just because they won a national championship. They play real physical and they find a way to win games.

"As far as Florida State goes, I've always just liked Bobby Bowden for some reason and my parents used to watch them. I like the team's prestige and their tradition and their rivalries. I just like everything about them I guess.

"Miami has the athletes and they know how to win. I also really like Tennessee. I used to watch Jamal Lewis. I'm kind of from Georgia and I have aunts and uncles who live there. Even though I was born in Florida, I lived in Georgia from the age of 1-4. I've lived in Florida since then and it's not easy to go to Georgia if you are from Florida.
