Ohio Linebacker Having Big Summer

Parma, Ohio is home to fast rising linebacker Mike Dinard. The 6-2, 220-pounder is making the most of the summer camp circuit.

Mike Dinard, a 6-foot-2, 222-pound linebacker/running back from Parma (Ohio) Padua Franciscan is seeing his stock rising after two strong camps showings at Northwestern and Boston College.

Dinard was moved up to the varsity as a sophomore and was slated to start at running back and linebacker but didn’t play a down of football because of a broken leg.

In 2003, Dinard was used primarily as a running back and gained 956 yards and scored 15 touchdowns. Mike did play defense and made 20 tackles from his linebacker position.

“I don’t have any offers yet but I received a lot of phone calls in May.” Dinard said.

“Northwestern, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Miami (Ohio), Stanford, Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan, Columbia, Princeton, Yale, Harvard and Bowling Green.

“My favorites are Northwestern, Boston College, Stanford, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Iowa and Princeton.
,br> “I’ve already camped at Boston College and Stanford. I’m going to Pittsburgh this week for camp. I might camp at a few more schools this summer but nothing is set in stone.”

Dinard is solid in the classroom, he carries a 4.68 GPA in the classroom, scored 30 on his ACT and scored 1390 on his SAT.
