There is no question that Dan Doering is the best offensive line prospect in the state of Illinois right now. But right tackle Dace Richardson has perhaps the most upside, of not just any OL in Illinois, but any offensive linemen in the nation. Richardson, 6-6 and 300 pounds, is from Wheaton (Ill.) Warrenville South High School.
Richardson is relatively new to the game of football and he has only scratched the surface of what he can become. More than one college coach has said that he has more potential than any OL in the nation. The bottom line is this, if you need an OL to play next year, sign Doering. If you want an OL two to three years down the line, Richardson is your guy. He has a great frame, body and footwork. He also has a gigantic wing span and with hard work off the field, should develop into a super offensive tackle prospect.
Here are some video highlights of Richardson.
