Ohio QB Lands First Offer

QB Kevin Leady

Pemberville (Eastwood) quarterback Kevin Leady put up some big numbers in 2003 and was named all-state. Leady talks about his first offer and the five schools that are at the top of his wish list.

A quarterback slowly climbing the charts is 6-foot-2, 185-pound gunslinger Kevin Leady. Leady from Pemberville (Ohio) Eastwood put up some big numbers as a junior and now he's just received his first scholarship offer.

"I've been offered by Bowling Green State University," said Leady. "I went to the Bowling Green camp and was offered before I left.

"My favorites are Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Purdue, Toledo and Ohio State.

"I've camped at Bowling Green this summer and our team just won the 7-on-7 tournament at Ohio State. We're going to Cincinnati's 7-on-7 tournament this summer also.

"I wear #4 because of Brett Favre. He's my favorite quarterback and I try and model my game after him."

Leady passed for 1,962 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior and he used his 4.5 speed to rush for 1,445 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Kevin was named 1st team All-Ohio in 2003. High School Sports Publication has named Leady to their Ohio "Tremendous 26" team.

Extra Point - Bowling Green has offered the perfect dual-threat quarterback for their system. Leady is underrated in my opinion. His speed is legit and he has a very strong arm. Leady is accurate and shows a nice touch. Don't be surprised if the Big Ten schools offer scholarships during the 2004 season.
