Ohio State picked up a verbal commitment today from one of the state’s top athletes when wide receiver Brian Hartline made his decision to stay home. Hartline, 6-3 and 175 pounds, committed to the Buckeyes over Iowa, Michigan State, Pittsburgh, Stanford and others.
On film Hartline is impressive, showing good hands and the ability to run away from people. He will go over the middle and make the tough grab in traffic. Hartline is also a good kick returner.
”Brian is a phenomenal athlete,” said Duane Long, editor/publisher of Ohio High Magazine and recruiting analyst for Bucknuts.com. “He is a 6’6” high jumper and he finished 4th in nationals in the 400 meter hurdles. Brian is one of the state’s top athletes and players.”
Here are two minutes of film of Hartline is action as a wide receiver, kick returner and blocker on special teams.
