Portage running back Antoine Brown had a tremendous junior season and could set a couple of school records in 2004. Brown talks about his offers and names six favorites.

"I have offers from Kentucky and Northern Illinois," running back Antoine Brown said.

"My favorites are Kentucky, Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Michigan and Miami (Ohio).

"I camped at Central Michigan, Purdue, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan.

"Wisconsin is my leader. I liked the coaches, the campus and the facilities. I could see myself fitting in there very well."

Brown, a 5-foot-10, 185-pounder from Portage, Indiana rushed for 2,039 yards and 32 touchdowns as a junior.

He was named junior all-state, all-area and all-conference. Antoine is set to break two school records in 2004 for rushing yards and touchdowns.

Brown transferred to Portage for his junior year after spending his first two years at Merrillville High School in Indiana.

Antoine is also a track standout and he set a school record in the 100-meter dash with 10.75 seconds. He took 7th in state with that time and won the regional and sectionals.

He also had a 200-meter dash time of 21.7 seconds.
