Chris Pool,

Illinois is loaded with offensive line talent in 2004 and another road grader has emerged in the Land of Lincoln. Meet Pat Brown.

Pat Brown, a 6-foot-6, 265-pound offensive lineman from St. Charles (Ill.) North has emerged this summer as prospect to watch in 2004.

Brown received rave reviews on the camp circuit this summer as he made stops at Northwestern, Boston College and Western Michigan.

"I don't have any offers yet," Brown said. "I got a lot of calls in May and I'm getting a lot of mail.

"My favorites are Illinois, Northwestern, Marshall, Kentucky, Missouri, Western Michigan and Boston College."

Brown is the son of former Joliet (Ill.) Catholic football player Ken Brown. Pat's father was a member of the first Joliet Catholic state champion in 1975.

Ken Brown went on to play college football and baseball at Northern Illinois University.

Pat Brown's cousin, Tim Brown is a current member of the Joliet Catholic football team. Tim Brown is also a D-1 football prospect.

Pat Brown will be a three-year starter in 2004. He was named all-area and all-conference as a junior.
