"I like the winning tradition at Miami," says Reginald Youngblood (6-5, 285, 5.3), from Houston Washington. "They put a lot of people in The League and they have a nice pro-style offense that would get me ready for the next level. I spoke with Miami coach (Mario) Cristobal (TEs) last week... | |||

Texas OL Reginald Youngblood says Miami (childhood fave), Oklahoma (childhood fave) and LSU (camp) lead slightly over Texas and Florida State. All have offered as well as UCLA, Missouri, Nebraska, Michigan, Iowa and Iowa State. "I like the winning tradition at Miami," says Youngblood from Houston Washington. "They put a lot of people in The League and they have a nice pro-style offense that would get me ready for the next level. I spoke with Miami coach (Mario) Cristobal (TEs) last week and he just asked me how I was doing and that was it really. I also get a lot of letters in the mail from them. "LSU is close to home. I like the fact that they just came off winning a national championship. They have a good coaching staff and I know that if I go there I'll get a chance to play early. I really like how they run the program over there and when I went there for camp (June) it just had a good feeling to it--that's all. "Texas is just right up the road from where I live. It would be nice to go there so my parents could come and see all my home games. I know that if I go there I could have the chance to really play early as a true freshman. Coach (Mack) Brown told me that after he watched some of my film that I could go there and play right now. "It's the tradition at Oklahoma, man. And it doesn't get any better than coach (Bob) Stoops. I've got the chance to play early over there too. And I've always liked them a lot. "I really like Florida State because of coach Bobby Bowden, and I'd be honored to play for him. He's a legendary coach. They've got a winning program and it's just a good school." Reginald will officially visit Miami and Oklahoma during the season but has no dates. In his first game, Reginald had five pancake blocks as Washington beat Bellaire 25-22. 3.5/880 SAT |
