Could Louisville find success in Tallahassee once again? If so, it may come from Lincoln High…
Florida Athlete Waiting for the Aggies
Despite playing in the shadows of all-everything Fred Rouse, Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln athlete Travis Norton has quietly collected offers from South Carolina, East Carolina and Middle Tennessee State. The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder, who owns a 4.40-second forty-yard dash time, currently is weighing each of his tendering schools equally. However, the school that currently has his eye isn't found among his offering schools or even in the Sunshine State. Surprisingly, Norton is looking to gain interest from a school over 800 miles away. "There's no one out front, but I would like to hear from Texas A&M if I could," stated Norton. "I like that they are up and coming. The coaches they have over there are pushing them." At this point, however, favorites mean very little as Norton plans to focus primarily on his senior season per his head coach's request. "Our coach likes us to wait till the end of the season to take our visits," stated Norton. "He wants us to focus on our game and not worry about what's going to come." Norton is mostly being recruited as an athlete, but stars at defensive back and wide receiver for Lincoln High School. Last season he caught 12 passes for 240 yards, while also recording 35 tackles and 8 passes defended.
