Patrick Turner: Newest Army All American

Nashville, Tenn. -- Goodpasture's High School turned out in full force as Patrick Turner was honored as an Army All-American Bowl selection this morning. The 6-5 and 205 pound receiver had a lot of support from friends, family, coaches and teammates, and Scout.com was there to give you an inside look.

Patrick Turner is the #3 ranked wide receiver in the entire country. He is a 5 Star Prospect by Scout.com, a member of the National Hot 100, a member of the South Hot 100, and now he is a member of the Army All-American Team. He will represent the East squad on January 15th in San Antonio, Texas when East meets West in the Army All-American Game on NBC.

Sergeant 1st Class David Martin introduced Turner and spoke of what it meant to be an Army All-American. As one of only 78 High School Seniors selected to play in this game, Turner is in select company.

Turner humbly accepted his nomination in front of a packed house and gave thanks to everyone in his life, his coach, his family and his teammates for making everything possible for him.

Goodpasture Head Coach David Martin (Yes, same name as Sergeant Martin) spoke of physical ability, hard work, attitude and character as Turner's parents proudly looked on.
