Midwest Hot 100 - LB Prince Kwateng

LB/FB Prince Kwateng

Prince Kwateng, a 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker/fullback from Munster, Indiana checks in at #99 for the Scout.com Midwest Hot 100. Kwateng wasn't highly recruited in the spring of his junior year so he took matters into his own hands and showed up at summer camps unannounced with nothing but cleats and a highlight tape. His persistence paid off and now he's verbally committed to Northwestern.

Prince Kwateng is a perfect example of persistence, hard work and self belief.

Although Kwateng wasn't highly recruited during the May Evaluation period, he kept his head up and worked hard during the summer and earned a scholarship at one of the best academic institutions in the United States.

Kwateng is an athlete that's being recruited by Northwestern as a linebacker. He could possibly get some looks on offense but defense is more of a natural fit for Prince.

Watch Kwateng on film and he's constantly around the football, he makes tackles in space and he constantly takes good angles to the football.

Kwateng is a sure tackler that hopes to make an impact in Evanston next fall even if it's only on special teams.

Kwateng chose Northwestern over Northern Illinois, Indiana, Toledo, Western Michigan and Wisconsin.
