Leader Remains for Big Georgia WR

A big prospect out of Georgia this year is Jared Cook. Cook is a 6'5 wide receiver that could get labeled as a sleeper in the class of 2005. Cook has offers in both football and basketball, but all signs point that Cook will sign to play on the gridiron, not the hard court. Who is out in front for this big receiver?

"Mississippi State still leads," said Jared Cook.

"They just continue to recruit me hard. I get a hand written letter from each one of their coaches every week. They seem to really want me."

Cook also holds offers from Western Michigan and Missouri (offers Cook the opportunity to play both sports).

What other teams continue could possibly offer Jared Cook before signing day?

"Georgia, Clemson and South Carolina are still recruiting me pretty hard. They call me, write me and let me know they are still interested."

Cook just went to check out one of those schools he would like to earn an offer from…

"I went over to the Georgia/Georgia Tech game last weekend. It was nice. I talked to Coach Bobo before the game and he told me the same things. Asking me to hang in there and be patient with them, so that is what I am doing."

Cook is in the process of setting up a few visits, but it will have to be around basketball as he is averaging a double/double in points and rebounds so far this season.
