Purdue Will Be Tough To Beat
Selwyn Lymon Update!

An argument can be made for
Selwyn Lymon
being the
#1
and most dangerous prospect in the Midwest. Lymon has the body, stride and speed of Randy Moss and he’s a big-time play maker. Michigan and Purdue were the only two schools at the top of Lymon’s wish list but others tried to get their foot in the door. A door which is about to be slammed shut.
Lymon, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound wide receiver from Ft. Wayne (Ind.) Harding took his official visit to
Purdue
this week and he’s close to giving the Boilermakers his verbal commitment.
“We went to Purdue this past weekend and had wonderful time.” Said Terry Lymon, the father of
Selwyn Lymon
.
“Our family was so impressed with Coach (Joe) Tiller. He has put together a great staff as well. Coach Tiller is the general and he’s got a bunch of very sharp guys behind him.
“I can’t say that Selwyn committed but he’s very close. Coach (Ron) Vanderlinden (
Penn State
) is coming to our home for a visit this week and I told him the situation and he has still decided to come.
“Selwyn doesn’t have any other trips set up and I can see something happening (commitment) very soon.
“Again, I’m just a dad here, but I feel strongly and I’m emphasizing the strongly that Selwyn is leaning towards Purdue.”
This would be a huge get for Purdue. Lymon is an instant impact type player that can and has done it all on the football field.
In 2004 alone, Lymon played quarterback, running back, wide receiver, handled all the kicking duties and returned punts and kicks as well.
Lymon is a track star playing football. He runs a 4.38 40-yard dash and he’s a threat to take it to the house every time he touches the ball.
Lymon had 1,000 yards passing, 450 yards rushing and 350 yards receiving this year. He had 10 receiving touchdowns. Those numbers were good enough to earn Lymon all-state honors. He was voted league most valuable player as well.
Lymon gave Purdue his verbal commitment late last night after our interview.
