Chris Pool,

Northwestern will get an important official visitor in January. Oklahoma dual-threat quarterback, Andrew Brewer, will visit the Evanston campus January 7th and the possibility of the Wildcats getting Brewer’s verbal commitment before he leaves the campus is very good.

“Andrew visited Kansas and Tulsa in December and he’s not going to make a decision until he visits Northwestern in January,” said the father of Andrew Brewer.

“I think Andrew will be able to make a college decision after visiting Northwestern. They have been his leader for a long time now and I don’t think he’ll take any more visits.”

If Brewer does pledge Northwestern, that will give the ‘Cats, three verbal commitments at the quarterback position.

There will be speculation that one or more of the quarterback commitments will be making a move to the defensive side of the ball but there’s only one problem with that.

The Northwestern assistant coaches, that are the primary recruiters for Anthony Brewer, Mike Kafka and Eric Peterman, all feel that each guy has the tools to be ‘THE MAN’ to run the NU offense.

Andrew Brewer has made it no secret that the Wildcats are a big leader for his services. We’ll see if he gives the Wildcats his verbal commitment in early January.
