New York wide receiver Lavar Lobdell (6-3, 192, 4.55, Scout.com's #17 WR, 4 stars) now says Florida (1/28 official trip), Miami (1/21) and Syracuse are his leaders.
"My decision is going to come down to these three schools," says Lobdell, from Christian Brothers High in Syracuse.
"I have not made a decision yet though. I'm going to announce it at a news conference held at my school on Wednesday (Letter-of-Intent Day).
"My trip to Florida was straight…it was a good visit. Michael McIntosh (wide receiver) was my host. We did some typical recruitment stuff. What...have you never been on a trip before? Just recruitment stuff."
Understandably, Lobdell isn't concerned with impressions at this stage. "I really don't care what readers out there think--I don't play for them."
Scout.com's conversation was cut short when Lobdell was contacted by one of his recruiting coaches. "I will not speak with any other magazines or press before I make my decision," concluded Lobdell.
Lobdell has also officially visited North Carolina State (1/14) and West Virginia (12/10).
