Jamar Hornsby (6-4, 195, 4.5) likes the Florida offense and says Michigan has promised him their famous #1 jersey. Georgia, Georgia Tech and USC will have to come from behind, but the Sandalwood High (Jacksonville, Fla.) athlete hails from Georgia, grew up following the Bulldogs--and he might take all his official visits.

Jamar Hornsby (6-4, 195, 4.5) has over 30 offers from schools coast-to-coast. Schools want Hornsby as either a defensive back or wide receiver. The standout from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville (Fla.) has always been open about his favorites.

"My top five schools are still Florida, Michigan, USC, Georgia and Georgia Tech," said Hornsby. "All of them have offered me and each school either wants me as a DB or a wide receiver. I'll play wherever the team needs me, just as long as I'm on the field.

"Right now Florida is my leader, followed by Michigan and Georgia. That pretty much rounds out my top three," he said.

"I went on an unofficial visit to Florida (6/4) and just loved the trip. They're the one program that's recruiting me the hardest and the one that I talk to the most. I got to meet most of the players and we all had a great little cookout on some lake in Gainesville, with the coaches also, on that trip. They've really got a great offense over there. I've also got a great chance at playing right away there too. They're recruiting me as wide receiver," he said.

"I'm still also really thinking about Michigan. They don't just tell me that I can play right away, but they've told me that I've got a great chance of coming in and starting right away. Plus, coach (Scot) Loeffler (quarterbacks) has told me that the #1 jersey will be open to me if I go there. That's a huge number to wear as your jersey and it's got some great history at Michigan. Not just anyone can wear that number," he said.

"I'm originally from Georgia, so I've been a Bulldog since I was young. Other than that I don't know much else about them, but I'd like to definitely try to get out there, as well as to Georgia Tech, for unofficial visits this summer," he said.

"With USC, all I really know is that they're a great program and they're in a great location. I don't know that much else about them either.

"I'll probably end up taking all five of my official visits and then decide on a program sometime after the season," he said.

2.7 GPA/May 6 SAT scores undisclosed.
