Linebacker Anthony Lewis (6-1, 215, 4.7) from Haltom City, Texas, has reduced his focus to four. "Out of those four schools I don't have a leader," said Lewis, from Haltom High School.
"I've narrowed it down to Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. All those schools have offered me.
"I haven't set up any officials yet but I plan on getting out to all four programs either during or after the season. I've been out to all four programs before for unofficial visits this past summer, and they're all recruiting me pretty hard. I've already been contacted (this month) by the coaches at those programs.
"I like the head coaches at all of these programs…that's one of the main reasons they're my top four schools--because they've got some great coaches there. Coach (Charlie) Weis seems really into the kids at Notre Dame. I also really like how they seem to have everything clicking right now.
"I also really like coach (Chris) Thurmond (cornerbacks) as well over at Texas A&M…he's a really great guy. Plus it’s a school that's only two hours away from my home and it would be easier for my family to get to my games. Location is not a factor for me though really, but it would be nice to be able to get home once in a while," he said.
"Oklahoma's loss to TCU doesn't bother me…everyone ends up having some bad games, but Oklahoma will always be a top team in the nation. Everything is in order there and they're still going to have a good recruiting class this season.
"Oklahoma State's program is similar to my high school in the sense that we're both rebuilding as programs, and we're both coming up," Lewis said. "I also really like the coaches there and it seems like it could be another comfortable place for me.
