The classic East vs. West match-up will be played and televised live on NBC January 7th at 12:00 p.m. (CST) and will feature the top 78 prep football student-athletes in the country.
Chris Wells is the number one ranked running back in the country by Scout.com. He is a member of the National Hot 100 as well as the Midwest Hot 100. At 6-1, 220
pounds, Wells has dominating size to go along with great speed at 4.51 which he ran at the Scout.com combine in Akron.
"Cut from the same mold as Oklahoma's Adrian Peterson. He has tremendous speed. Great burst. Quick feet. Can accelerate outside and get corner. Square pads, delivers on contact. Breaks arm-tackles. Carries pads well. Has awesome leg strength. Good balance and lateral agility following contact," says Chris Pool of Scout.com.
As a junior, Wells rushed for 1,939 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2004 and averaged 9.1 yards per carry.
Wells made his commitment to Ohio State shortly after signing day this past February.
