Top 10 Corner Named All-American

COLUMBUS, Ind. (October 3, 2005) --- Recognized as one of the top football players in the nation, Steve Brown of Columbus, Ind., has been named a 2006 U.S. Army All-American. Brown will join a stand-out list of athletes playing in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.

The classic East vs. West match-up will be televised live on NBC January 7th at 12:00 p.m. (CST) and will feature the top 78 prep football student-athletes in the country.

Steve Brown is ranked the #10 Cornerback Prospect in the Country.

"Steve has excellent size and is physically intimidating for a defensive back as he hits like a linebacker. He's athletic enough to play on either side of the ball in college, can come off a spot and accelerate very quickly, is very smooth and has quick feet with elusiveness. He also shows elusiveness as a punt and kick returner," according to Chris Pool of Scout.com.

Brown is a standout defensive back at Columbus High School and was one of 400 players nominated nationally and one of 78 selected to participate in the Bowl by the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Selection Committee.
