Profile 2003 - Harold Stanback (LB)

Playing linebacker in Maryland, Harold Stanback has a fairly obvious model to pattern his game after. "I try and play like Ray Lewis," said Stanback. "He came to one of our games last year, and I like to play like him. I have good lateral movement; my best drill is the shuttle run. My goal this season is to break the tackle record at our school of 170 tackles in one season."

Stanback is hearing from several colleges in his region, but he has narrowed it down to the ones close to home. "I like Maryland the best right now. My mom wants me to stay pretty close to home, but I also like Tennessee. Maryland, Tennessee, Michigan, Penn State, and Michigan State are my favorites right now."

The big middle linebacker will be a hot commodity this fall regardless of whether or not he reaches his goal of 170 tackles. But should he top that mark, he'll be white hot come next February.
