Southern Recruit Rankings - The Corners
Jai Eugene
Jai Eugene - South
Posted Nov 1, 2005

All week - South will be updating the rankings for the southern players. The states included are Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas. This is a look at the Top Cornerbacks in the South.

South's Top Wide Receivers

The Cornerback position may be the hardest skill position to scout. Most of the top cornerbacks in the college game played another position in high school. Usually the position of choice is quarterback, and that's the case with the South's #1 Corner Jai Eugene.

Another interesting part of the list is seeing how the State of Florida racks up so many division one prospects. Take a look at the list of cornerbacks and see how many are from the Sunshine State. The cornerback list is the list that is most Florida heavy, and it's no surprise the cliché that schools come to the Sunshine State for Speed.

Rather than list the players' height, weight, and speed, I have listed the school they are committed to if any. Click on their player page to see more information including scouting videos and schools of interest.

If you have any feedback on the formatting, or questions about the rankings, please come see us on the Scout Recruiting Message Board:
