QB Zach Ulrich - The Talk of Chicago
Zach Ulrich, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound, quarterback from Wheaton (Ill) North is starting to see his stock rise. We've had a few different college recruiters say that Ulrich was the best quarterback in Illinois. That's a pretty tall order seeing that the Land of Lincoln has some solid junior quarterbacks. Tommy Zbikowski and Brad Bower both have scholarship offers. When we look at Ulrich on film, we see a little of former Purdue quarterback Drew Brees. Brees just happens to be one of the quarterbacks that Ulrich models his style of play after. "Purdue is one of my favorites because of Drew Brees." Ulrich said. "I also like Stanford, Michigan, Notre Dame and Iowa. "Michigan was at our school last Friday and Nebraska was here yesterday." Ulrich threw for 1,982 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2001. His completion percentage was 63%. Those numbers were good enough to earn all conference and all area honors. Ulrich will be traveling to the (Stanford) Nike Camp to compete against the finest quarterbacks in the nation. Most of the nations top gunslingers will be at that camp.
